Hi, I’m Amanda! I built a thriving notary business in a small town with no experience, no connections, and no big budget—honestly, I was just winging it! I learned the hard way what it’s like to build your own business without a boss or co-worker to turn to for guidance. I always thought I would follow the traditional path of college, but I dropped out to take care of my dad when he was diagnosed with cancer. After he passed, I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light, which meant doctor’s appointments three times a week for six months. By the time I was able to consider college again, I felt behind and didn’t know what to do. Then, COVID hit, and I was laid off. I started with a dream of becoming a loan originator, and while I was completing the training, someone suggested I become a notary. So, I did. After researching and marketing my services, I turned it into a full-time business. A year later, I added wedding officiant services to my business.
